Expert Foot & Ankle Care You Can Trust
Medical & Surgical Podiatric CareIn Northern Arkansas & Southern Missouri
What is a Podiatrist?
Our feet take a lot of abuse each day. This might be why around 75 percent of Americans will deal with a foot problem at some point in their lives. That’s where a foot doctor comes in. A foot doctor, also commonly referred to as a podiatrist, helps diagnose, treat, and manage problems of the foot, ankle, and leg.
What Podiatrists Treat
About one-quarter of all the bones in your body are in your feet. This means that if any of these bones are out of alignment, chances are pretty good that the rest of your body will be too. This can cause pain, numbness, and other symptoms. Your podiatrist has the expertise and tools necessary to treat just about any issue.
It may be time to schedule an appointment with a podiatrist if:
- You’re dealing with a fungal infection of the toenail
- You have persistent or chronic heel pain
- You think you have a sprain or fracture
- Athlete’s foot keeps returning
- You develop persistent or recurring pain
- You have severe pain in the foot or ankle
- You develop numbness, swelling or tingling
- You have diabetes
- You think you may have a bunion
- You develop joint pain in the foot or ankle
- At-home care isn’t providing you relief from your symptoms
We work with individuals of all ages, from children to the elderly, to help improve foot health. Dr. Eric Arp also performs surgeries and shockwave therapy to treat certain severe conditions that might not respond to traditional or more conservative treatments.
If you are dealing with foot or ankle injuries or issues, our podiatrist at Arp Foot and Ankle Clinic can provide you with the individualized treatment and care you’re looking for in our Harrison and Mountain Home locations.

Meet Our Podiatrist
My interest in becoming a Physician goes back to my childhood. I grew up in Iowa and developed a passion for two things. I knew that I wanted to help people, and I absolutely loved playing football. In high school, I was an All-State linebacker for my school's State Champion football team (Go Spartans). I was fortunate to be able to continue that love of playing football when I walked on to the Iowa Hawkeye football team under legendary coach Hayden Fry. I had to make a tough decision after the first year to continue on with football or focus on my goal of becoming a doctor. It was the most difficult decision that I've had to make and one that I have never regretted. I spent 4 years in Chicago during medical school, secured a surgical residency in Indiana, and then my wife and I decided to move to Mountain Home along the beautiful shores of Lake Norfork. We have raised our six children in this community, and I have enjoyed coaching them in several sports, taking my 4-time state championship-winning baseball team, the "Bomb Squad," all the way to the Cal Ripken World Series in 2013. I have been active as a mentor at the Mountain Home High School Career Academy and have incorporated student internships at my clinic. I am passionate about my patients and have a special interest in resolving heel pain with a non-surgical technique, as well as reconstructive flat foot surgery and the delicate art of forefoot surgery. I feel blessed to come to a job that I love every day and am honored to be able to gain the trust and respect of so many patients over the years.

SERVICE YOU CAN TRUST
Patient Review
This place is AMAZING!. I took my 85-year-old mom there. They started her on routine foot care, as she is diabetic. The staff is so friendly and outgoing. Kimberly, the nurse practitioner, is absolutely delightful!. Very caring, personable, and really knows her stuff. She treated Mom with so much respect. I was blown away. You don't see this level of service much these days. Thank you to all of you at Arp.
